Benedict Radcliffe x Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 3D Wireframe Installation

Benedict Radcliffe x Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 3D Wireframe Installation
I was looking through Freshnessmag.com and came across this artist Benedict Radcliffe. He designed a shoes for Nike then disappeared for a year and comes out with this. A  3D wire installation of a  Land Rover. It was exposed showing the interior well. He was inspired to make this from a toy model he saw. I really like this it simple yet astonishing. It is something you see would be created in the designing of the  SUV.

Age of anxitey anxiety

Bruce Nauman

How does the artist utilize material/median/found found object, in an historical context, verses a contemporary context? He uses his material in a contemporary context.  From what i Have seen he uses a lot of neon  he keep it fun and playful drawing the younger people to his work.

He uses his material to create word. A lot of his work is working with playing with the meaning of a word. He hides the true meaning of his are behind the words making you think why did he chose this word.

What site was chosen for the artwork? Naoshima Contemporary Art Museum is where on of the ones i like is displayed, "One Hundred Live and Die"

Scott Campbell

Scott Campbell is crazy. He cut up $11,000 dollar in uncut sheets of  US $ 1 dollars bills. It is really amazing though. A skull in a 2x2 cube. I love how this is blended in and carefully cut. I guess you have to be extra careful or you'll have a $11k mistake.the first thing that comes to mind after getting over the fact that its $11k is the message. The message i get from this is that money kill. Like they say more money, more problems or even money can't but you happiness. Wish I could have seen it in person. It was displayed at the OHWOW in Los Angeles. It does deserve to be there because it really make you go OH WOW!!

marvel comics and stussy poster

Marvel Comics x Stussy Poster Giveaway | Last Chance To EnterI came across this and thought these are great. These are images were designed by John K and Gary Panter. I am not much of a comic person put these iconic figure in the comic world are being introduced to today's generation. I love the detail in these. I love how they tie in the background collage into the main character. the one i seem to like the best it the Punisher, and Captain America. The Punisher is drawn a mysterious pose, looking down not being able to see his face gives it the mystery of not knowing what will happen with him. Captain American i just love the use of bold color and the pose that was created.

Julia Davis Rose Garden

View Image1. I see many roses, lots of different kinds. the location of this is perfect. It is  located in the middle of Julia Davis Park. It is evenly layed out. It has good use of space. Easy accessible to everyone.

2. The representation is this is great. It create somewhat of a maze with in giving it an essence of getting lost in this beautiful place. If you go during its peak bloom it smells wonderful. There is a path way down the middle  with gazebos to provide shade.

3. The visual element in this that are dominate are the roses of course. It is a Rose Garden. It creates a calming enviorment

Go to fullsize image4. This memorial is not really site specific but was chosen because on  November 22, 1907 Thomas Davis deeded a tract of land with thee only request that  had from the city of Boise was that the land would only be used as a park and memorial to his wife Julia Davis and nothing else.

5. It was created and designed by a group of men, yes men and flowers. In 1935 it was though up by H.C. Schuppel who was Chairman of the Men’s Garden Club. Interesting that their club had only two rule no women and no publicity.

6. Well a lot of different rose bushes were used along with adding sculpturers and gazebo throughout.

7. In the memorial there aren't many words just mainly descriptions of the roses.

8. I think that this space was intended to provide a relaxing atmosphere . Something that Julia Davis would have also enjoyed. It is very inviting somewhere where you could clear your mind.

9.  I think this is very successful because I remember going for the first time and just had a really relaxing feel to it.

Cabela's Boise Store

http://www.cabelas.com/assets/cms/img/retail/19_boise/boise_storephoto.jpg 1. I see a huge mountain with a variety of different animals. They created this mountaion typ ladscape  in the middle the store. it has a hall leading to is from all sides. It is really busy.

2. It depicts alot of nature habitats from the wild. It is to me very cluttered. It is not what you would typically see in the wild, all these animals in one place.

3. The most dominating feature of this is the big mountain replica with the rams a top it all. the landscape really stands out and is realistic.

4. This in not really site specific it a Cabela's  Store. I is just trying to incorporate all it elements into one.

5. Not sure who created it but seemed not very planned out.

6. There was taxidermy, what seem to be textured plastic boulders and rock, fake landscaping which make it look realistic.

7. By adding text to the animals through out the exhibit kind takes away from the look they are trying to go for. Natural, real life setting wild life. It would have worked better to have a diagram showing the different animals around as some are.

8. I think it was intended to just be a display of what shopping at Cabela's can bring to you. its just a big advertisement for there  store.

9. I thing it worked well but not great it could have used a little more planning and laying out.

Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial

1. The Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial is located at 777 South 8th Street Boise, ID 83702 located next to the LIBRARY! and the green belt. I has a park like setting with different sections dedicated to different Human right topic. It was all created of stone and marble walls. it contained a water feature. there was a specific layout and path that the creator wanted you to follow from left to right instead of left to right. it has speaker boxes providing an explanation of each section in English and Spanish.
                                                                                                               2. The representation of this memorial are very well done. The have a speaker box in more than one language to appeal to more people. It is black writing carved on cream slabs of marble. It has a specific route that is layed out to follow instead of reading from right to left it is set up left to right and takes you around to whole memorial.

3. The visual elements and principles that dominate the whole thing are the marble slabs with quotes from various different. As well the other major thing that stands out is the water fall in the middle of the whole memorial.

4. This memorial doesn't seem site specific other then there is alot of traffic that goes thru there every day located next to the Library! and the greenbelt.

5. This memorial was created by Idaho human rights education center. Designed by Kurt Karst, a architect from Idaho Falls. and funded by the donations from the people of Idaho. the main piece which is the life-sized statue of Anne Frank was created by Greg Stone from Massachusetts, who won the national competition to build and create it. It was built with help of Idaho school children raising  funds to build the bronze-cast sculpture.

6. A variety of material was used to create this wonderful relaxing memorial such as marble, rocks, bronze bricks, grass, voice boxes, and water.

7. The text functions well. It is well represented on a lite colored surface with black text.
    8. Very successful. its a great location and also great use of material and display.
