Skeleton/Skin Inspirations

At First for the project i found myself sketching spiral designs so i decided to look on the internet for some inspirations  and go from there.so i googled "wire tower art" and came across this awesome structure.

The Monument to the Third International
This structure reminds me of the Eiffel Tower and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. the Eiffel tower part of this it distinguished right away. the base has the extension off one side resembling the base of the tower. then the tower of Pisa is depicted int the effect that it leans off to the side.
It contains organic and geometric shapes, and lots of negative space.this also contains a solid structure within the structure making it all come together as one.
it inspired me to create some type of a leaning spiral structure for my skeleton/skin project.

Another of my inspirations that i found is:
The Mode Gakuen Spiral Towers
I initially saw the building a few years back in one of my architecture courses. first thing that came to mind was WOW that is AWESOME. It is appears to be two half spirals leaning on one another.

Skeleton/Skin

First assignment of the semester: create a 3 dimensional linear structure from 2 dimensional drawing. Exciting!! the structure/ skeleton had to be constructed of some type of wire. the add some type of skin to it to either conceal or still leave it exposed but make the skin work into the design. In order to come up with some ideas brainstorming started out with 10-15 sketches

Sneakerhead

The idea of this blog is to create a source that will be useful to further inspire current and future art work throughout my career. Many of my inspirations of art come from an a unexpected source. its from shoes, not just any shoes Nike. I consider myself a sneakerhead (1. A person who collects limited, rare, OG, or flat out exclusive kicks. Usually the collection consists of Jordans or Dunks. 2. A person with background knowledge of certain sneakers. 3.Somebody who owns a number of sneakers and is always up on the latest J's that come out. Their collections consist of rare, vintage, and collectable sneakers from classic Chuck Taylor's to custom Nikes.:http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=sneakerhead) Most people wouldn't consider sneakers as art but for my its an inspiration and a way to express myself and be heard.

Inspiration

Arts is an inspiration all in its own. Art lets you explore your imagination. It lets you express your thoughts, dreams and emotions and lets your mind go free and wild. Art inspirations come from everywhere. Everyday life alone will inspire you, seeing something on the side of the road alone will inspire not just in art but in life as well.my personal inspirations are my family. I have a wonderful wife, Brittney and a beautiful son Ian that inspire me everyday and make everyday a joyful journey. Art 108 will let me explore those dreams. thoughts and emotions by creating 3 dimensional art and explorer different material other that the normal pencil and paper.
